On May 8th, 2025, we joined the nation in marking the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, a momentous day in history when, in 1945, the war in Europe officially came to an end.
This anniversary is a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and resilience shown by so many during one of the most challenging times in our history. Today, and always, we honour all those who fought, served, and gave so much in the pursuit of peace. Their bravery lives on in our memories, and we remain committed to preserving their legacy.
Colleagues from Humphris Funerals were proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with members of the Banbury community outside the Town Hall, where a moving address was delivered by Reverend Sarah from St. Mary’s Church, Banbury. It was a poignant and reflective moment, bringing people together in remembrance and gratitude.
We thank everyone who came together to pay tribute and reflect on this important milestone in our shared history.
